A sauna at the water's edge
Tysnes Fyrstove sits on the swimming jetty in the middle of the harbour, just 60 centimetres from the sea.
The sauna seats 8 to 10 people and takes its design from the old coastal lighthouse lanterns along the fairway. It is open to everyone, every day from 08:00 to 22:00, and you book your slot online. Right next to it is the diving tower, for a refreshing dip between sessions.
In winter, the Tysnes winter bathing club meets in the harbour for Saturday gatherings, from October until Easter. Everyone is welcome.
